Stereolithography

Stereolithography

Description

The stereolithography (SLA) has a realization tolerance of ± 0.15 mm and, respect other technologies in the whole world of rapid prototyping, it allows to obtain models with great dimensional precision: indeed it could guarantee exceptional aesthetic results. The prototypes got through the stereophotography process are suitable for assembling tests, ergonomic tests and dimensional checks.

The realization

Partec has several machines for the realization of stereolithography pieces; each machine is loaded with a different resin, each one with its own mechanical and aesthetic characteristics. In a short time it is possible to obtain prototypes with some differences in properties including, for example, transparency or high temperatures resistance.
Among additive manufacturing technologies, the stereolithography is the one allows you to obtain faster a physical model.

Mode of operation

The epoxy resin is solidified by a laser, layer by layer and this is how the prototype is printed inside the machine. You can gain a product that could be used not just for initial conceptual checks but also for functional tests thanks to its high rigidity.
